The colour system
The Xempo scale works like the martial arts belt system. Increasing standards of race performance are rewarded with different colours from the Xempo range.
Eligibility
You must have achieved your qualifying time in a 5k, 10k, half marathon or a marathon from 2008 onwards to be eligible for the Xempo range.
Verification
When buying from the Xempo range, just enter the details of the race in which you (or the person you’re buying for) have achieved the required standard and we’ll do the rest.
A colour for everyone
The first colour in the scale is white. You’ve earned this for whatever time you’ve achieved in a 5k, 10k, half marathon or full marathon. So well done! You’ve already qualified.
From yellow...
Next up, yellow. This is for the runners who have achieved a sub 26:00 5k, sub 55:00 10k, sub 2h00 half marathon or a sub 4h15 marathon.
...to gold
Gold is for that elite group who’ve achieved a sub 15:30 5k, sub 32:00 10k, sub 1h10 half marathon or a sub 2h30 marathon.
Wear with pride
You’ve put the work in. You’ve run the race. And now you can show others just what league you’re in. Only those who have completed races at the relevant distance are eligible.
More to come
We’ll be extending Xempo across different disciplines and sports in the near future - watch this space!
